📏 Measurement Units

Choose how room sizes and areas are shown throughout PlanIt. This changes the display only — every measurement stays stored in metric, the optimiser keeps working in metric, and existing estimates are never altered.

Metric — default Rooms shown as 4.25m × 3.80m, areas in m². Type 4.25, 4.25m, 425cm or 4250mm. Imperial Rooms shown as 12' 6" × 14' 3", areas in yd². Type 12', 12ft, 12'6", 12ft 6in, 150in or 12.5ft — a plain number means feet.

How it will look

ℹ️ Roll widths always stay in metres — suppliers manufacture and sell 2m, 3m, 4m and 5m rolls, so converting them would cause mis-orders. Roll lengths have their own separate setting on the Calculate Quote page, so you can measure in feet and inches but still order in linear metres.
